Patty Lance
With more than 45 years of professional dog training experience, Patty Lance has dedicated her career to helping dogs and the people who love them build safe, trusting, and lasting relationships. As the founder, owner, and visionary behind Nana-N-Paws Doggie Daycare, Training, Grooming, Sleepover Center and Pet Supplies, as well as Compassion 4 Paws Veterinary Healing Center, Patty has created a unique, comprehensive canine care center where professional training, enriching daycare, overnight sleepovers, grooming, premium pet supplies, and veterinary care work together to support the lifelong health and well-being of every dog. Her vision has established Nana-N-Paws as one of the region’s most respected destinations for canine care, education, and behavior services.
Patty’s expertise includes companion dog training, behavior modification, beginner through advanced obedience, and personal protection training. Throughout her career, she has guided countless puppies and first-time dog owners, helping families build a strong foundation based on communication, consistency, trust, and mutual respect. She also specializes in private, one-on-one behavioral consultations, working with dogs in both home and public environments to address fear, reactivity, aggression, anxiety, resource guarding, and other challenging behaviors.
Over the years, Patty has been entrusted with the rehabilitation of numerous dogs considered high-risk or exceptionally difficult to manage. By developing practical, individualized training and management plans, she has helped many families safely keep and successfully live with dogs that might otherwise have been surrendered or euthanized. Her balanced approach emphasizes public safety, responsible ownership, and giving every dog the opportunity to succeed whenever appropriate.
Beyond her work as a trainer, Patty has become a respected resource within the animal welfare community. She has developed educational materials to help first responders safely handle animals encountered during emergency situations, improving safety for both emergency personnel and the animals involved. She has also served as an expert witness in dog bite litigation, providing professional insight into canine behavior, training methods, and responsible dog ownership.
Patty also worked alongside an animal rights attorney to help develop a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the rights of wrongly accused animals. Together, they advocate for fair behavioral evaluations, responsible rehabilitation, and evidence-based decision-making while supporting the investigation and prosecution of animal abuse and neglect cases.
Whether welcoming a new puppy into the family, resolving serious behavioral concerns, or providing guidance in complex canine cases, Patty approaches every dog as an individual. Her philosophy is simple: every dog deserves to be understood, every owner deserves the knowledge and confidence to succeed, and every training plan should be tailored to the unique needs of both the dog and the family. Her goal extends far beyond teaching obedience—it is to build lasting partnerships founded on trust, communication, and lifelong success.

Christine Reedy
Christine Reedy’s passion for dog training began in 1998 after acquiring her first Australian Shepherd and becoming actively involved in breed rescue. In 2003, she began her professional training career with an electronic pet fencing company, teaching families how to successfully introduce and train their dogs to the system before expanding into private in-home obedience training and behavior modification.
Christine has been an active member of seven breed clubs, serving in leadership positions with several, as well as three dog training clubs. She is currently an AKC evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Trick Dog, and Temperament Test programs, and also serves as an AKC Fetch Judge.
At Nana-N-Paws, Christine teaches our Puppy Foundations classes, where puppies and their owners build confidence through structured socialization, foundation obedience, and positive learning experiences. Class enrollment is intentionally limited to just six puppies per six-week session, allowing every family to receive individualized instruction, personal coaching, and a strong foundation for lifelong success.
